Dennis Foggia leads in Mugello on Friday
Italy’s Dennis Foggia (Honda) has strengthened his leadership in Moto3 thanks to the morning record of 1: 56.916 on the first day of the Italian GP’s free practice at the Mugello Circuit. In FP2, the temperature rose significantly, with Jaume Masiá at 1:57:314 taking Free 2 and finishing second with a total of 0,218.
Foggia in Italy started and finished as a benchmark in the smallest category. At first, John McFee (Husqvarna) in England accounted for 10 minutes. The final lap, Jaume Masiá (KTM), rose to second place with an advantage of 1 in 49,000 compared to the British.
The tension of the first few minutes caused the Japanese Ayumu Sasaki (Huskvarna) to fall. Ayumu Sasaki, who was aware of it at the time, had to evacuate on her stretcher after jumping into the air from her motorcycle and being run over by Jaume Macia. She was taken by ambulance to an Italian circuit clinic, where she was transferred to a hospital in Florence, where she underwent a more thorough medical examination. Recall that a year ago, a young Swiss driver Jason Dupasquier fell in the second quarter, causing a fatal accident on the circuit and sometimes freezing the atmosphere.
At that time, Sasaki was in 3rd place in the morning record and Jaume Masiá was in 11th place, and he had to put his bicycle on a crane and return to the workshop. In the end, the Japanese finished in 4th place and the Spaniards went up to 2nd place.
They are also in the top 14 offering access to Q2 in the absence of FP3, with Sergio Garcia 7th, Izangebara 12th and Danihorgado 14th.
