“We’re risking our lives.” Verstappen against salary cap in Formula 1
Formula 1 is actively discussing the possibility of introducing a salary cap for drivers as part of the overall team spending cap.
There’s currently a team spending cap of $140 million for the season, but that doesn’t include driver salaries.
Pilot Red Bull Max Verstappen is confident that this should be the case.
“I think the salary cap for pilots would be a mistake. I think F1 is getting more and more popular, series and teams are making more and more money.”
“Why should drivers who risk their lives be restricted? I think we’re risking our lives. “Wrong decision,” Verstappen said. said.
So far this idea is only discussed in the F-1 manual.
