Bautista wins Race 1 at Misano and strengthens his leadership
Spanish Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing–Ducati) World superbike By achieving victory in the first race of Italian Grand Prix at MisanoAn Englishman prior to his great rival in the title Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki).
For Tarave’s rider, who won the overall victory with 186 points, the fourth win of the season is Rhea (164), Turkey’s Toprak Razgatoriogle (Yamaha) who could not finish the first race at Misano.
The first three World Cups have progressed from the first lap, the Turks began to fall from the fourth and left on the fifth fall.
Bautista was ahead of Rhea, but broke the lap time and set a very strong pace, so Briton, who started in 8th place, was down to the finish, more than 5 seconds behind the Spaniards.
Behind the scenes, Rhea endangered second place before Bautista’s teammate Michael Ruben Rinaldi pushed, but the Italians had no basis to complete the hunting work and from the winner. After a delay of 8.2 seconds, he settled in 3rd place on the podium.
Both HRC teams Xavi Vierge (7th) and Iker Lecuona (9th) conclude Spain’s success in Race 1.
Superpole will be held this Sunday at 11:00 and Race 2 of the Superbike World Championship will be held at 15:15.
