Lewis Hamilton races to Canada: ‘I wouldn’t miss it for the world’
Lewis Hamilton suffers from back pain after Baku, caused by the strong turbulence of his car in the race.
Mercedes boss Toto Wolf has raised the possibility that Lewis Hamilton will not compete at the Canadian GP after the Baku race. The 7-time World Champion told Team Radio in the middle of the Azerbaijan GP that the intense ups and downs of the Mercedes W13 was causing him excruciating pain. After the match, the camera recorded him struggling to get out of the cockpit.
However, Hamilton made it clear with a story on Instagram that he will be walking to Canada next weekend:
“Good morning people. Yesterday was a difficult day and I had some trouble sleeping, but today I woke up in a positive mood! The back is bruised and bruised, but fortunately nothing serious. I did acupuncture and physical therapy with Ang [Cullen] and I’m on my way to teaming up with them for improvements [του μονοθεσίου]. We must keep trying. Now is the time to be united and we will. I’ll be there this weekend, I wouldn’t want to miss it for the world. I wish you all a wonderful day and week“.
The Canadian GP takes place next weekend, June 17-19 at the Jill Villeneuve circuit.
