Ferrari ‘Champion’ in demolition, no Mercedes
Carlos Saint and Charles Leclerc did not finish at the Baku GP, making Ferrari the team with the most abandonments on the grid.
The Baku GP race did not go well for Ferrari. Carlos Saint retired on lap 9 due to a mechanical problem, while a few laps later Charles Leclerc, who was also champion, followed ahead of Ferstappen and Perez.
With these two demolitions, the Scuderia achieved fifth place and is “Champion” in this category. What is interesting about the table below is that Mercedes, struggling this year and far from Ferrari and Red Bull, have finished all races.
Disclaimers of the manufacturer:
- Ferrari: 5 (Leclerc: 2, Saint: 3)
- Alfa Romeo: 4 (Boots: 1, Chao: 3)
- haas: 4 (Magnussen: 2, Schumacher: 2)
- Williams: 3 (Latifi: 1, Albon: 2)
- Aston-Martin: 3 (role: 1, hag: 2)
- AlphaTauri: 3 (Gasley: 2, Chunoda: 1)
- red bull: 3 (Farsteps: 2, Perez: 1)
- Alpine: 2 (Alonso: 2)

* The table below counts abandons even after completing 90% of a game. In this case, Formula 1 usually counts the drivers who have retired.
