Verstappen tops Japanese Grand Prix qualifying but faces penalty and loss of pole position

Red Bull driver Max Verstappen wins qualifying for the Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix.

The Dutchman’s best lap time was 1 minute 29.304 seconds.

The second place was taken by the representative of “Ferrari” Charles Leclerc. He lost to Verstappen on the lap by 0.010 seconds.

The third was the Spaniard from Ferrari Carlos Sainz.

Verstappen in the third segment prevented the British pilot “McLaren” Lando Norris. Max had problems, some element of the car flew off. Lando had to go around Verstappen’s car on the grass to avoid crashing into him. The judges must study the episode after qualifying, the Red Bull pilot faces a fine.

The race will take place on October 9 at 8:00 Moscow time.
