Red Bull driver Max Verstappen wins second Formula 1 title ahead of schedule

Dutch Red Bull pilot Max Verstappen became a two-time Formula 1 champion ahead of schedule.
The 25-year-old rider became the first in the race in Japan, which was interrupted for two hours due to heavy rain. Following in the protocol are his closest pursuers in the championship – Sergio Perez (Red Bull) and Charles Leclerc (Ferrari). Monegasque finished second, but received a five-second penalty due to action against Perez. As a result, both lost their mathematical chances for the title.
Verstappen won his first title at the end of the 2021 season, where he overtook seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton in the final race of the season.
There are four races left to finish the 2022 championship. The next Formula 1 round will be held October 21-23 in the United States.
