only five times Carlos Sainz has raced in the Japanese Grand Prix, which is due to the absence due to the pandemic of the event and that the best years of Madrid have been lost. This explains why the Ferrari driver’s results were not particularly outstanding, because until 2019 he had no options to fight for great goals.

Of those five appearances until 2022, Sainz has scored points in three: twice 10th and once 5th. so big 5th place came in his last visit to the Japanese circuit with McLarengoing for much of the race in 4th until Albon arrived with Red Bull.

A place where he has also made mistakes, like in 2017 where he went out after losing control of the car or in 2016 where he was off the pace in the second half of the race.
