The United States Grand Prix Fernando Alonso is synonymous with dropouts and poor results. Normally found in the latter part of the calendar, the American circuits did not allow the Spaniard to finish at the top. In fact, he has run the event 14 times and has only added 55 points and made the podium only twice, first in 2007 and later in 2012.

Reliability saw him in 2001, 2003, 2004 and 2017, while 2018 and 2021 were the result of career challenges. It should be noted that his non-participation in the 2005 edition was marked by the insecurity of the Michelin tires due to the Indianapolis circuit.
