Haas’ Danish driver Kevin Magnussen took pole position in Friday’s Brazilian Grand Prix qualifying, which will form the starting grid for Saturday’s sprint.
This is the first such success in the history of the American team. Magnussen returned to Formula 1 in the 2022 season, replacing Russian Nikita Mazepin at Haas.
The second was the two-time world champion Max Verstappen (Red Bull), the top 3 was closed by George Russell. In the third segment, the British Mercedes driver flew into the gravel, red flags were hung over the track. After the resumption of qualifying, the rain intensified, so the pilots could not improve their time.
The 100 km sprint will take place on Saturday. Based on its results, the starting grid for Sunday’s Brazilian Grand Prix will be formed.
