Verstappen made a scandal in Formula 1. He yelled at the engineer and harshly framed his partner
Experts are disappointed with the behavior of the star pilot. Terrible selfishness!
By the end of the year, Formula 1 fans could already be bored with the current competitive season – there was no intrigue left in it at all. The champion has long been known – Max Verstappen became it for the second year in a row. And in the Constructors’ Championship, Red Bull is also ahead of everyone by a huge margin.
However, the pilot himself, it seems, has not lost his passion. At the penultimate stage of the year, the famous racer made almost the main scandal of the season.
Verstappen treated his partner in a boorish way and did not give a damn about the whole team. He doesn’t even apologize!
Bad start
Although the first place has already been determined, the fight for the podium in Formula 1 continues. The main intrigue of the Brazilian Grand Prix was the competition of Sergio Perez, teammate Max Verstappen, and Charles Leclerc – both pilots claimed the second line of the rating.
Qualification unexpectedly won Magnussen from Haas, the second on the starting field was Max Verstappen. Perez and Leclerc finished 9th and 10th respectively.
At the first restart of the race, Verstappen attacked Hamilton, causing the crash. The Dutchman broke the front wing and went into the pits, and the British Mercedes lost five positions, but did without serious injuries.
As a result, Verstappen was found guilty of a collision and gave the driver a five-second penalty. And, apparently, this brought Max out of himself.
“Don’t ask me about it, okay?”
Although the race started nervously for the world champion, he was able to finish it in sixth position. At the same time, absolutely all experts took up arms against Verstappen. And it’s not about the accident with Hamilton.
On the final lap, the Dutchman was followed by his teammate Perez. The Mexican, coming in second in the drivers’ standings, was three places behind Leclerc – Charles was fourth. And, as everyone understands, Sergio needed glasses like air.
Naturally, Red Bull asked their leader to give up one position to a partner, but in response they received this:
“I already told you last time. Don’t ask me about it, okay? Is it clear now? Then I stated my reasons and I stick to them, – Max literally yelled at the engineer through the command radio.
The Austrian team was in shock. Perez was seventh, so Leclerc managed to catch up with the opponent. Now they have 290 points and the decisive Grand Prix of Abu Dhabi ahead.
mean behavior
Many were quite rightly disappointed with Verstappen’s behavior. Perez has always helped him. And in the final race of last season, the Mexican fought with Hamilton, thereby creating opportunities for his partner to play back the gap. How did it all end? A victory for Verstappen in a race and a season that ended Lewis’s five-year dominance. Experts then recognized that Cheko showed a model of team wrestling.
And that is why the actions of the Dutchman now disgust the whole world:
This is Max’s outrageous behavior. Big disappointment. Terrible, absolutely terrible. Why does he need sixth place at all? reporters asked.
“We’re sorry about that,” said Red Bull team manager Christian Horner.
Verstappen and Perez have been on good terms in the past. Now, it seems that harmony is no more.
“He showed who he really is,” Perez said, disappointed.
The team management was forced to initiate a conversation with the pilot, but it was not possible to wait for the Dutchman to admit his guilt:
“I have my own reasons for this. We discussed everything. I think it was good that we finally just sat down together and talked about it and now we can move forward, Max concluded.
If Verstappen had reasons for such behavior, then the whole world would like to know them. At the moment, the situation looks like Max put on the crown too soon. Two titles in a row is not a reason to ignore the team and Perez.
In a certain scenario, if George Russell, who became the winner in Brazil, wins the race in Abu Dhabi, and even makes the best lap, and Perez does not score a single point and finishes below Leclerc, the Mexican may lose his place on the podium altogether. Verstappen should pray that this fantastic scenario does not materialize. Next weekend in the UAE will be very hot.

The Ferrari, Audi and Aston Martin teams have filed a joint lawsuit with the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) over the advantage that Mercedes and Red Bull may have in the 2026 season under the new technical regulations, The Race reports.
In 2026, Formula 1 will switch to new technical regulations, which provide for a reduction in the fuel compression ratio in power plants from 18:1 to 16:1. This indicator will be monitored off the track.
According to the source, Mercedes and Red Bull have found a way to pass the tests while maintaining the actual race compression ratio at 18:1. This could give teams an advantage of 0.3-0.4 seconds per lap.
— The regulations clearly define the maximum compression ratio and the method for measuring it, based on static conditions at ambient temperature. This procedure remains unchanged despite the reduction in the permissible compression ratio for 2026, the FIA said in a statement.
The FIA does not intend to change the regulations at least until the tests are carried out. Teams are allowed to update their power unit designs every six races of the season.
