Formula 1 cancels Chinese Grand Prix for 2023 season
Formula 1 has announced the cancellation of the Chinese Grand Prix for the 2023 season due to the situation with the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
“Formula 1 is evaluating alternative options for replacing the stage and will provide new information on this matter at an appropriate time,” the statement said.
Thus, the championship stage will not take place in China for the fourth year in a row. The Grand Prix was included in the provisional calendar for the 2023 season and was scheduled to take place April 14-16.
The first stage of Formula 1 is scheduled for March 3-5 in Bahrain.
