Carlos Sainz’s first experiences in the desert were unforgettable. I better forget it. In his three races with Toro Rosso he retired, then came 11th in Renault and with McLaren he didn’t finish in 2019 either. His performance increased impressively in the English team in the two races of 2020: he finished 5th and 4th, respectively.
His debut with Ferrari in 2021 was not what was expected either and he came 8th. However, in 2022, accompanied by luck (neither Red Bull car finished due to fuel pump problems), he broke the curse and signed a wonderful 1-2 for Cavallino. Charles Leclerc took the win and finished second. Third place went to Lewis Hamilton with Mercedes.
