Jenson Button’s ex-wife arrested in Japan on drug charges

Jessica Michibata, the ex-wife of former Formula One champion Jenson Button, has been arrested in Japan on suspicion of drug-related crimes, reports The Sun.
The detention took place after a customs officer found drugs in a package destined for a woman. Representatives of the Tokyo Police Department searched the hotel, which was located at the address of the delivery of the package, and detained Michibata and another person. She denies all allegations.
“Currently, we are unable to contact Michibata directly and are gathering information to confirm the facts. Since the incident is being investigated by the police, we will refrain from disclosing any details, the modeling agency where the girl works says in a statement.
Button was in a relationship with Michibata from 2008 to 2015, they were married for one year. In 2009, the Briton became the champion of Formula 1 as part of the Brown team.
