Verstappen wins Austrian F1 Grand Prix for seventh win of the season

Red Bull driver Max Verstappen won the 10th round of the Formula 1 championship, the Austrian Grand Prix.

The Dutch rider showed the best result after 71 laps at the track in Spielberg. Monegasque Charles Leclerc of Ferrari finished second, Verstappen’s Mexican teammate Sergio Perez rounded out the top three.

Verstappen, who also scored the best lap, took his seventh win of the season. He leads the overall standings with 229 points. Perez is second with 148, while Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso is third with 129.

The next stage of the championship will be held in the UK on July 7-9.
