Hamilton: Some teams said racist things about me
The pilot of “Mercedes” Lewis Hamilton said that he heard talk about the negative attitude towards him in other teams.
“We have to make people sympathize. Sebastian Vettel was one of those who supported me the most. He told me that some teams said racist things about me. Laws need to be changed so that people live better. We are risking our lives trying to educate others,” Marca quoted Hamilton as saying, citing DAZN.
And at the end of December 2022, the International Automobile Association (FIA) banned Formula 1 drivers and other competitors under its auspices from making statements or commenting on political, religious or personal topics if this is contrary to the general principle of neutrality.
Previously, it was thanks to Hamilton’s activity in Formula 1 that racers began to kneel in support of the Black Lives Matter movement in 2020.
