Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton was the best in qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix Formula 1.

In the third segment, the seven-time champion showed the result of 1 minute 16.609 seconds. The last time the Briton won the qualification was in December 2021 at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.

Championship leader Max Verstappen of Red Bull lost just 0.003 seconds to Hamilton and will start second. The third time was shown by the pilot of “McLaren” Lando Norris (+0.085).

Verstappen’s team-mate Sergio Pérez, who is second overall, advanced to the third segment for the first time since the Miami Grand Prix, which took place in early May. After that, the Mexican could not reach the final of the qualification for five stages in a row.
