Verstappen wins Hungary to win ninth race of F1 season, Hamilton misses podium after starting from pole

Red Bull driver Max Verstappen wins Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix.

The current world champion also showed the best lap of the race.

Second place went to Lando Norris (McLaren), third – Sergio Perez (Red Bull), who started ninth.

Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), who won the qualification the day before, lost the start and ended up fourth. Mercedes co-driver George Russell, who started the race 18th, finished sixth.

Verstappen won his ninth victory in 11 races of the current season. Perez won two.

Daniel Ricciardo, who took the place of Nick De Vries in the Alpha Tauri, finished 13th in his first race since returning to F1, his teammate Yuki Tsunoda finished 15th.

The Belgian Grand Prix will be held July 28-30.
