Aston Martin driver Lance Stroll said he suffered serious overloads during an accident in qualifying for the Singapore Grand Prix.

The Canadian pilot could not keep his car on the track in the last turn and after hitting the bump stops the car broke into pieces. Despite the serious damage to the car, the driver did not receive any injuries and was able to get out of the car on his own. However, medical personnel did not allow the Canadian to participate in the race.

— I received overloads of about 50g. After the accident I was fine, I was healthy enough to race, but I didn’t feel physically ready. “I gradually felt it coming, and I understood that the sensations on Sunday morning would not be the most fun,” RacingNews365 quotes the Canadian as saying.

Stroll has 57 points this season and ranks ninth in the overall standings.

The next stage of the Formula 1 championship will be held in Japan from September 22 to 24. Stroll will perform at this Grand Prix.
