Red Bull driver Max Verstappen won the Formula 1 Qatar Grand Prix.

For Verstappen, who won his third championship title in the sprint the day before, this is his 14th victory this season.

The McLaren pilots earned a double podium at the end of the race: Oscar Piastri, who won the sprint on Saturday, finished second, Lando Norris – third.

In Qatar, the pilots had to make at least three pit stops – the FIA, for safety reasons, decided to limit the distance for each set of tires to 18 laps.

About an hour before the race, it became known that Carlos Sainz (Ferrari) would not take the start line due to a fuel leak.

Mercedes drivers Lewis Hamilton and George Russell collided at the first turn. Hamilton retired, and Russell lost many positions, but was able to break through to the final fourth place.
