Verstappen wins 50th Formula 1 victory at the US Grand Prix
Dutch Red Bull driver Max Verstappen won the US Grand Prix at the Austin (Texas) circuit.
The three-time world champion started the race from sixth position, but over the course of the race he took the lead despite problems with the braking system. For the 26-year-old driver, this victory was his 50th in Formula 1.
The second place was taken by Briton Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), the top three was completed by his compatriot Lando Norris (McLaren). The pole position holder, Monegasque Charles Leclerc from Ferrari, spent the race using the tactics of one pit stop and dropped to sixth place.
Fernando Alonso, Esteban Ocon and Oscar Piastri retired due to technical problems.
The next stage of the Formula 1 championship will take place from October 27 to 29 in Mexico. There are four Grand Prix left before the end of the season.
