Verstappen wins final qualifying of the F1 season

Red Bull driver Max Verstappen won pole position at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the final stage of the Formula 1 season.
The three-time world champion’s best lap in the final segment was 1 minute 23.445 seconds. Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) had the second result, Oscar Piastri (McLaren) qualified third.
Leclerc’s teammate Carlos Sainz did not make it out of the first qualifying segment, and seven-time champion Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) did not make it out of the second.
The final race of the 2023 season will take place on Sunday and will begin at 16:00 Moscow time.
