Mercedes is trying to return a fan’s Hamilton trophy. The pilot did not give anyone a commemorative prize
Mercedes will try to return the trophy for driver Lewis Hamilton, which is due to him for 3rd place in the Formula 1 championship in the 2023 season, Planet F1 reports.
Earlier media reported that Hamilton did not take the trophy and gave it to one of the fans present at the ceremony.
However, according to recent reports, Hamilton’s trophy was left on a table backstage after Lewis handed it to one of the officials at the ceremony.
Currently, Mercedes is trying to find out what exactly happened to the trophy after all employees left the ceremony.
According to the official statement from Mercedes, Hamilton did not simply give away a commemorative figurine with FIA symbols to anyone.
