Sainz made a statement after Ferrari chose to sign Hamilton

Spanish Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz spoke on social networks about his upcoming departure from the team at the end of the 2024 season.
On Thursday it became known that seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, who decided to leave Mercedes, will start competing for the Italian team in 2025. Another team driver with a multi-year contract will be Charles Leclerc.
“I’m leaving Ferrari at the end of 2024.” But we have a long season ahead of us. And as always, I will give my best for the team and all the fans around the world.
News about my future will be announced later,” the Spaniard wrote on the social network.
Sainz has been driving for Ferrari since 2021. Before that, he was a member of the Toro Rosso, Renault and McLaren teams. In total, he spent 185 Grand Prix in F1, winning 2 victories.
