McLaren Formula 1 team driver Lando Norris said that he does not like driving on city streets.
As TalkSport notes, the Briton’s personal collection of supercars is estimated at £1.7 million. He owns a £300,000 McLaren 765LT Spider, a £350,000 Rolls Royce Wraith and has also been seen driving a £1 million McLaren Senna.
– I hate this. I’m even more afraid on the road than in a racing car; it happened that people wanted to race me on the street. We were filming something, I was taking my child to school, and I needed to pick him up from home in the McLaren in the morning.
So here he is sitting next to me, cameras everywhere, speed limits and traffic lights, me in public in a racing suit, someone watching me from the side.
I’m like, I’ve got a kid here and a TV, and I say, “OK,” and I roll down the window and say hello. And you can tell he’s thinking about having a race. “I cannot and must act in a certain way,” Norris was quoted as saying by TalkSport.
In January it was announced that Norris had signed a new long-term contract with McLaren.
