Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has been acquitted of charges of inappropriate behavior ahead of the first Formula 1 round in Bahrain, Autosport.com reports, citing a statement from Red Bull.
Earlier, De Telegraaf reported that one of the team’s employees accused the head of Red Bull of inappropriate behavior. The 50-year-old man sent sexually suggestive messages to one of the team’s employees and later offered her around £650,000 (€760,000) to keep quiet. After this, Red Bull began an investigation against Horner.
— The investigation into the charges brought against Horner has been completed. Red Bull confirms that the complaint has been dismissed. The applicant has the right to appeal. Out of respect for all concerned, we will not make further comments on this matter,” Red Bull said.
The Bahrain Grand Prix will take place from February 29 to March 2.
