German driver Nico Hulkenberg will leave Haas at the end of the current Formula 1 season, the press service of the American team reports.

It was later announced that Audi had entered into a long-term contract with the 36-year-old pilot. The German team will only join Formula 1 in 2026, so Hulkenberg will spend the 2025 season at Kick-Sauber. The Swiss team will be absorbed by Audi; the transfer of assets has already taken place.

Hulkenberg made his Formula 1 debut in 2010; he holds the anti-record for the number of races without a podium place in the championship. The German is now in 13th place in the individual standings with 4 points.

The next Grand Prix of the current Formula 1 season will be held from May 3 to 5 in Miami.
