Leclerc won the home Monaco Grand Prix for the first time in his career, scoring his sixth victory in Formula 1

Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc finished first at his home Monaco Grand Prix.
For the Monegasque, this is the sixth victory in his Formula 1 career and the first since the 2022 Austrian Grand Prix. Previously, during all his performances at his home track, Leclerc had never been on the podium, although he won pole position three times. Before this Grand Prix, his best result in Monaco was fourth place.
The second place was taken by the Australian McLaren driver Oscar Piastri, the top three was completed by the Spaniard Carlos Sainz from Ferrari. Championship leader Max Verstappen (Red Bull) finished sixth.
On the first lap of the race, Red Bull driver Sergio Perez and Haas drivers Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hulkenberg were involved in a major accident. Also, the French Alpine pilot Esteban Ocon retired from the race due to damage to his car.
The next stage of the Formula 1 championship will take place from June 7 to 9 in Montreal, Canada.
