British McLaren driver Lando Norris set the fastest time in the second free practice session at the Formula 1 round in Hungary.

In his fastest attempt, Norris lapped the Hungaroring in 1 minute 17.788 seconds, followed by Dutchman Max Verstappen (Red Bull; +0.243 seconds) and Spaniard Carlos Sainz (Ferrari; +0.397).

Evening practice was interrupted by red flags following an accident by Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc. The Monegasque lost control in one of the corners and crashed his car into the barrier, ending the session early.
