Russian driver Shwartzman to replace Bottas in first practice of Dutch Formula 1 Grand Prix
Russian and Israeli pilot Robert Shwartzman will replace Finn Valtteri Bottas at the wheel of the Kick Sauber car in the first free practice session of the 15th stage of the Formula 1 season – the Dutch Grand Prix, the team’s press service reported.
— The young driver, Ferrari’s reserve driver for this Formula 1 season, will take Valtteri Bottas’ place for the session, with the Finn returning for the rest of the weekend. As in previous cases, we are working in partnership with Ferrari to give young talent the opportunity to participate in practice sessions. Good luck, Robert! — the press service said in a statement.
In January 2023, Shwartzman left Ferrari but remained the Italian team’s reserve driver in Formula 1.
The first and second free practice sessions of the Formula 1 round in the Netherlands will take place on Friday, with the race taking place on Sunday.
