French Alpine driver Pierre Gasly set the fastest time in the final free practice session of the Dutch Grand Prix.

Gasly set his best result shortly before the end of the practice session, setting a time of 1 minute 20.311 seconds. Second place went to Dane Kevin Magnussen (Haas, +0.139), with the top 3 rounded out by Finnish Kick Sauber driver Valtteri Bottas (+0.844). Reigning world champion and season leader Max Verstappen (Red Bull) was 17th (+4.049).

The training session took place in rainy conditions and was interrupted by red flags due to Logan Sargent’s (Williams) accident. The American lost control in one of the turns and crashed the car into the barrier, it later caught fire, but the driver managed to leave the cockpit in time.

Later on Saturday, qualifying will take place in the Netherlands, starting at 16:00 Moscow time.
