Norris wins Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix qualifying, Verstappen seventh
McLaren driver Lando Norris took pole position at the 16th round of the Formula 1 Championship, the Italian Grand Prix.
The Briton won qualifying at the Monza track, his result was 1 minute 19.327 seconds. His teammate, Australian Oscar Piastri, came in second (0.109 seconds behind), while British Mercedes driver George Russell (+0.113) rounded out the top three.
The season leader, Dutchman Max Verstappen (Red Bull, +0.695), finished seventh.
The Italian Grand Prix race will take place on Sunday.
