Ferrari driver Leclerc wins Italian Grand Prix to take second win of Formula 1 season
Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc won the 16th stage of the Formula 1 championship season – the Italian Grand Prix.
The Monegasque driver posted the fastest time after 53 laps on the Monza track. Second and third place went to McLaren drivers Australian Oscar Piastri (2.664 seconds behind) and Briton Lando Norris (+6.153), who started from pole position.
Season leader Max Verstappen (Red Bull) finished sixth. Argentine driver Franco Colapinto, who replaced Logan Sargent in the Williams team before the round in Italy, was in 12th place.
This is Leclerc’s second victory this season: he previously won his home round in Monaco.
The next stage of the Formula 1 championship will take place on September 13–15 in Baku.
