Norris wins Singapore Grand Prix, Verstappen second
British McLaren driver Lando Norris won the Formula 1 round in Singapore.
The 24-year-old driver started the race from pole position and managed to maintain the lead from the first place at the start for the first time in his career. For Norris, this was the third victory of the season and his career. He remains second in the personal standings.
The reigning world champion and season leader, Dutchman Max Verstappen (Red Bull), finished second in Singapore. Norris’ advantage at the finish was more than 20 seconds. The top three Grand Prix winners were rounded out by Australian Oscar Piastri (McLaren).
The next stage of the championship will take place from October 18 to 20 in Austin, USA.
