McLaren driver Oscar Piastri won qualifying for the sprint at the 21st stage of the Formula 1 championship – the Brazilian Grand Prix, which takes place in Sao Paulo.

The Australian’s time is 1 minute 8.899 seconds. The second was his teammate Lando Norris, who ranks second in the individual standings (+0.029 seconds), the third result was shown by Charles Leclerc (Ferrari, +0.254).

Three-time champion and leader of the current championship Max Verstappen (Red Bull) took fourth place (+0.320).

The sprint will take place on Saturday, with qualifying later in the day.
