Qualifying for the Brazilian Grand Prix has been postponed until Sunday morning
Qualifying at the 21st stage of the Formula 1 championship, the Brazilian Grand Prix, was postponed until Sunday morning due to rain, the F1 press service reports.
Qualifying at the São Paulo circuit was supposed to start at 15:00 local time (21:00 Moscow time), but shortly before that it started to rain heavily. The start of the first segment was postponed several times, but in the end it was decided that qualifying would not take place on Saturday.
— The decision (to postpone to another day – approx.) was made due to poor visibility in heavy rain conditions in the last few hours. Too much water has accumulated in some parts of the route. A decision on the start time of qualifying tomorrow morning will be made as soon as possible, the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) said in a statement.
There is also a race scheduled for Sunday.
