Max Verstappen surpasses Michael Schumacher’s achievement
Red Bull driver Max Verstappen broke the record of seven-time Formula 1 champion Michael Schumacher for the number of consecutive days spent in first place in the individual driver championship, according to the Royal Racing website.
On Sunday, the Dutchman won the Brazilian Grand Prix and surpassed Schumacher’s achievement, occupying first place in the overall standings for 897 days in a row. The German driver led the championship for 896 days in a row between 2000 and 2002.
The next stage of the World Championship will be held in Las Vegas (USA) from November 21 to 23.
