Rel Bull driver Max Verstappen became a four-time Formula 1 champion
The Dutch Red Bull driver Max Verstappen became the world champion in auto racing in the Formula 1 car class for the 2024 season.
At the Las Vegas Grand Prix, Verstappen finished fifth and ahead of his closest pursuer in the overall standings, Lando Norris from McLaren. The Briton showed the sixth result.
After this, the Dutchman became unattainable for all rivals and won the title for the fourth time in a row. Two stages before the end of the championship, Verstappen has 403 points, Norris has 340.
The victory in the Las Vegas Grand Prix race was won by Briton George Russell (Mercedes), second place was taken by his compatriot and teammate Lewis Hamilton, and Carlos Sainz (Ferrari) rounded out the top three.
Verstappen is 27 years old and has been with the Red Bull main team since 2016.
The penultimate stage of the season, the Qatar Grand Prix, will take place from November 29 to December 1.
