Andretti will become director of the Cadillac Formula 1 team

Mario Andretti, who became the Formula 1 champion, will become the director of the Cadillac team, PlanetF1 reports.
Previously, Formula 1 reached an agreement in principle with the American corporation General Motors on the inclusion of the Cadillac team in the lineup from 2026. It is also planned that General Motors will soon become an engine supplier for the series teams.
— My first love was Formula 1. Now, 70 years later, the Formula 1 paddock is still my favorite place. I’m still involved in that at this point in life. “I have to pinch myself to make sure it’s not a dream,” Andretti was quoted as saying by PlanetF1.
Mario Andretti is 84 years old. Cadillac will become the eleventh team participating in Formula 1.
