Verstappen won the Qatar Grand Prix, Leclerc was second, Norris received a penalty
Dutch Red Bull driver Max Verstappen won the Qatar Grand Prix, which ended in Doha.
Verstappen won his ninth victory in the 2024 season. A week ago, at a stage in Las Vegas, the 27-year-old driver became a four-time Formula 1 champion ahead of schedule.
The second place in the race was Monegasque Charles Leclerc from the Ferrari team, the top three was completed by the Australian McLaren driver Oscar Piastri. This season’s vice-leader Lando Norris fought with Verstappen for victory, but received a fine for speeding during yellow flags and finished 10th.
The best driver of the day at the Qatar Grand Prix was Guanyu Zhou, who finished eighth and earned Kick Sauber’s first points of the season.
The final stage of the championship will be held in Abu Dhabi from December 6 to 8. The decisive race will determine the winner of the Constructors’ Championship.
