Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc showed the best time in the first free practice of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the final stage of the 2024 Formula 1 season.

The Monaco representative completed his best lap in 1 minute 24.321 seconds.

The second result was shown by Briton Lando Norris at McLaren (+0.221). The top three is completed by seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton (+0.485), who is playing his last Grand Prix for Mercedes before moving to Ferrari next year.

Four-time world champion Max Verstappen (Red Bull) missed the first practice, giving way to Isak Hajjar, who showed the 15th time (+1.556).

Later on Friday, the second free practice session will take place as part of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
