Lando Norris showed the best time following the results of the first day of the pre -season tests “Formula 1”
The British racer “McLaren” Lando Norris with the best time completed the first day of the Formula 1 pre -season tests in Bahrain.
The vice -champion last season drove onto the highway after a half break, replacing Oscar Piaste at the wheel of the car. As a result, the Briton drove 52 circles and, in his best attempt, showed the time 1 minute 30.430 seconds. The second result of the day was recorded by another British racer – the representative of Mercedes George Russell (+0.157; 69 circles). TOP -3 closed the four -time and current world champion Netherlander Max Ferstappen from Red Bull (+0,244; 74 circles).
A step away from the triple was stopped by Monegask Charles Lekler (Ferrari, +0,448; 71 circles). His partner Lewis Hamilton, who worked out the morning test program, showed the 13th result (+1,404; 70 circles). The seven -time world champion debuted as part of the Italian team in the official session of the races.
The protocol of the first day of tests closed the racers of the Haas team – Esteban Windows (19th) and Oliver Berman (20th).
The session was interrupted because of the power outage of the electricity at the circuit, due to which the test day was extended by one hour.
Preseason tests will end on February 28. The first stage of the Formula -1 championship from 14 to 16 will accept Melbourne (Australia).
