The ex -head of Formula 1 sold a collection of racing cars for half a billion pounds

The former head of Formula 1, Bernie Ecclestone, sold his collection of historical racing cars to the co -owner of the Red Bull concern Mark Matheshitsa, Reuters reports.
The cost of a collection of 69 cars is estimated at about 500 million pounds (almost $ 650 million).
– They fell into good hands, and it was in that I was interested. This is good. I am more than happy that they got there.
I would not sell these cars to anyone. They (new owners – approx.) Are going to build something like a museum, ”said 94 -year -old Ecclestone.
There are cars in the collection that were the F -1 champions Alberto Askari, Nicky Lauda, Nelson Pic and Michael Schumacher.
32 -year -old Mark Mateshits is the son of the deceased Austrian billionaire Dietrich Mateshitsa, who was the founder of the Red Bull team and Ecclestone’s friend.
