“McLaren” extended a contract with the Australian racer Piast
The Formula -1 team “McLaren” extended the contract with the Australian racer Oscar Piasta, the press service of the team reports.
The previous agreement with the 23 -year -old Piastus acted until 2026. The new agreement will last at least until the 2028th, the exact time of the end of the new contract is not specified.
Piastus joined the team in 2023. In 2024, the Australian won the Grand Prix of Hungary and Azerbaijan, climbed the podium in Monaco, Austria, Belgium, Monz, Singapore and Qatar, and also won the sprint in Qatar. He took fourth place in the individual standings of the season and helped McLaren win the Cup of Designers -2024.
Thus, in the next three seasons, the main pair of McLaren pilots will remain Piastus and Lando Norris, whose contract is valid until the end of 2027.
