Formula 1 extended the contract for the Grand Prix of Canada until 2035

The Canada Grand Prix will remain in the Formula 1 calendar until at least 2035, the press service of the racing series reports.

The highway became a permanent venue for the Grand Prix in 1978. In 1982, Avtodrom was renamed in honor of the Canadian racer of Gillev Vilnev.

It is also reported that the parties agreed to transfer the stage for an earlier term in the calendar since 2026.

In 2025, the Mercedes pilot George Russell won the Canada Grand Prix. The second was finished by the Red Bull racer Max Berstappen, the third – Russell’s partner Andrea Kimi Antonelli, who first hit the pedestal in Formula 1.
