Seven -time Formula 1 champion Briton Lewis Hamilton will lose five positions at the start of the Italian Grand Prix in Monz, the website of the International Automobile Federation (FIA) reports.
On Sunday, Hamilton, playing for the Ferrari team, could not finish in the race in the Netherlands. The 40 -year -old pilot had an accident at the 23rd circle, making a mistake in the third turn. The judges studied telemetry indicators and came to the conclusion that the Briton did not lose speed enough when passing the sector with double yellow flags. The Ferrari pilot also received two penalty points in a license.
At the same time, the second racer of the Italian team Charles Lecler escaped punishment for the risky overtaking of George Russell (Mercedes) in Zandvort. Both sides recognized what happened by a racing incident. Lekler himself dropped out of the race as a result of another episode, when the Italian Kimi Antonelli rammed his car.
