Fersstappen drove the fastest circle in the history of Formula 1

The Pilot of the Red Bull team Max Vertappen set a medium speed record in a circle in the history of Formula 1 in the qualification of the Italian Grand Prix, the press service of the racing series reports.

The four -time world champion on Saturday won Powul -Upers on the highway in Monz with a result of 1 minute 18.792 seconds (average speed – 264.682 km/h). Earlier, the achievement belonged to the seven -fold champion of the world Lewis Hamilton from Ferrari, which on the same highway in 2020 showed time 1.18,887 at an average speed of 264.362 km/h.

In addition, Vermstappen went around Sebastian Vettel and became the sole leader in the number of poles as part of Red Bull (45).

The Italian Grand Prix race will be held on Sunday, September 7th.
