Norris showed the best time in free practice for the US Formula 1 Grand Prix
British McLaren driver Lando Norris became the first in free practice at the 19th stage of the Formula 1 World Championship – US Grand Prix.
Norris’ best time was 1 minute 33.294 seconds. Second place was taken by German Nico Hulkenberg (“Kick-Sauber”; the gap is 0.255 seconds), the top three was completed by Norris’s teammate and championship leader, Australian Oscar Piastri (+0.279). Training was interrupted for several minutes due to debris from Lance Stroll’s car on the track.
On Saturday, qualifying for the sprint race will take place at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, followed by the sprint itself.
