Norris is the leader of the second practice of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Verstappen is second, Piastri is 11th
British McLaren driver Lando Norris showed the best time in the second session of free practice at the Abu Dhabi Formula 1 Grand Prix.
The result of the championship leader is 1 minute 23.083 seconds. The second time was shown by his closest competitor for the title, Max Verstappen from Red Bull (+0.363). During practice, the Dutchman interfered with Norris by remaining on the racing line during the warm-up lap, the judges drew attention to this incident. The top three were closed by the British Mercedes driver George Russell (+0.379).
Norris’s partner, Australian Oscar Piastri, who also retains his chances for the championship, showed the 11th time (+0.680).
The final stage of the Formula 1 season will continue on Saturday with the third free practice session and qualifying.
