Formula 1 decided not to look for a replacement for the Russian Grand Prix in the 2022 season, the championship will host 22 races

Formula 1 will not look for a replacement for the Russian Grand Prix, canceled due to the situation in Ukraine, in the 2022 season calendar, the press service of the organization reports.
Earlier, Formula 1 announced that it had terminated the contract with Rosgonki to hold the stage in Russia. In 2022, the Grand Prix was supposed to take place in Sochi, and from 2023 it would move to the Igora Drive track near St. Petersburg.
– No new Grand Prix will be added to the calendar to fill the gap. The 2022 calendar will consist of 22 races, the statement said.
